Dilham Village Fun Day Saturday 31st August 12-3pm

The Dilham village picnic party on the playing field is the chance for us all to get together and have some fun with our neighbours. There is no entrance fee - the day is free for everyone.

Bring your own picnic - Neil will be there with his coffee cart to sell coffee tea and ice cream.

This year our new MP Steff Aquarone will be coming to meet us, and we are also hoping to have the Worstead Weavers, and vintage cars and tractors.

There will be the traditional and retro games and competitions like Splat the Rat, Ring Toss & Hook the Duck, and we will of course have the Sports Day races: three legged, egg & spoon, grass skiing and our ever-popular Tug of War. And this year to burn off some more of the picnic we plan a game of Rounders.

We hope to see all our friends and neighbours on 31st August!

About us

Welcome to the Dilham Village Hall website, which we hope you will all find useful to advise on up-and-coming events, contact details, and clubs and organizations that meet in the Village Hall.

As a committee, we are the trustees of the Village Hall and playing field and are responsible for ensuring the Village Hall is run within the Charity Commission regulations and constitution.

Alongside this, we must ensure we are financially solvent and have enough to pay for the upkeep and running of the village hall, including the grass-cutting of the playing field.

We try to pay for the running of the Village Hall from lettings to our users, while fundraising events are used to fund improvements and upkeep. Over the last two years with increasing prices, this has proved very challenging, and we have reluctantly had to increase our hire charges to cover the extra costs.
